Can you program a key fob I bought on Amazon or eBay?
Yes, we do this all the time! We charge a flat labor fee to program customer-supplied fobs. However, please be aware that cheap aftermarket fobs sometimes have faulty internal chips that refuse to sync. While we will try our best, we cannot guarantee the longevity of parts we didn’t supply.
Do I need the original key to program a new fob?
For most vehicles, no. If you have lost all your keys, we can connect our specialized computer directly to your car’s OBD-II port and generate a new key sequence from scratch. You will just need to provide proof of ownership (Title/Registration and ID).
Why did my key fob suddenly stop working?
The most common culprit is simply a dead battery inside the remote. However, if replacing the battery doesn’t work, the fob may have become “desynced” from the car’s computer, the internal circuit board may be damaged from a drop or water exposure, or the car’s receiver antenna may be faulty.
